Keen on trying our beer & wine before you buy? Why wouldn't ya! We do tastings of Waiheke Island Brewery beer & Wild Estate wine in our cafe on quiet days, and our Cellar Door Tasting Room is open for casual tasting through the peak of summer and weekends in the shoulder season. Tastings are just $3 each, or a tray of all 6 wine or beer for just $18. Once you discover what you like you may purhcase by the glass, jug, or bottle to dine in or take away.
We don't require prebookings for casual tastings under 10 people, however we do get busy, so if you want to guarantee a space please select BOOK NOW above.
Groups tastings require a little more planning, so for groups please prebook your tasting at BOOK NOW above with a dedicated staff member as an activity for your group (simply book now above to check for availability).
A vineyard AND craft brewery tasting all in one - at Wild on Waiheke we perform an informative yet humorous tasting that promises not to intimidate (we're not that serious round here). Instead we offer a friendly and welcoming introduction to our unique family owned venue. First up we greet you with a taste of our very own Wild Estate wine from our boutique vineyard. These extremely limited wines are sold exclusively at Wild on Waiheke Restaurant & Cellar Door.
Next up as we're a brewery as well, you'll taste 2 of our most popular craft beers, brewed out back and served tank to tap. To top it off your tasting includes a scrumptious local Te Matuku oyster, and be prepared for a food & beer match with a twist!
Lastly taste our world famous (on Waiheke) Ginger beer. It's all natural and the best lil' ginger in town! We also have our very own sauces and chutneys on tasting and available for purchase.
Hosted by our cellar door manager, you get a friendly and informal tasting, that promises to be interesting, yet not too over-technical for the casual wine and beer enthusiasts.
Not to worry, whilst the tastings are set, we'll happily swap out your oyster for an extra taste of your choice if it's not your thing.
Our shop also has a range of local products to taste, including our very own Sauces and chutneys, plus other great local suppliers for sale such as No.29 Olive Oil, Man o War honey, and local soaps.
Also to taste are Wild Days (local) rum which also goes great in our long drinks and cocktails.
