Topknot Hill Wines

Topknot Hill Sauvignon Blanc

This limited edition Waiheke white shows intense lime and passionfruit aromas typical of cool climate Sauvignon Blanc. The palate shows a rich concentration of flavours with a well balanced vibrant acidity and fresh finish. Alcohol content 13.5%. Best matched with summer salads, our local Te Matuku Bay oysters or as an aperitif.

Topknot Hill Chardonnay (unoaked)

Grown here on Waiheke Island, Topknot Chardonnay is 97% Chardonnay and 3% Sauvignon Blanc grapes and has an alcohol content of 14.5%. This wine has aromas of lime and melon with hints of vanilla showing through the nose. The palate is clean and smooth with rich texture and fresh balanced acidity. The chardonnay is drinking well now, goes down well with our Waiheke or The Rock Pizza or enjoy as an aperitif and should develop more complex characters over the next 2-3 years.

Topknot Hill Rose

Made from Waiheke Island grapes, consisting of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Typical flavours are strawberry, peach, orange, marmalade, vanilla and oak. These flavours give the Rose a fresh, fruity, crisp with a little softness added by the oak. Alcohol content 13.5%. Best matched with lighter meals like our platters, starters or desserts. Great summer drinking.

Topknot Hill Cabernet/Merlot

This Waiheke wine was matured in approx 30% new oak barriques, giving beautiful balance and richness. Made up of 46% Merlot, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Cabernet Franc.  Flavours are lovely cherry spice and tobacco, underpinned with cedar and cigar box oak. This wine is medium to full bodied, good appeal to most red wine drinkers. Great with our gourmet pies or pizzas. Alcohol content 14.5%
